This is an epic encounter along the iconic Malvern Hills – The Mountains of the Midlands!
These hills are some of the oldest in Europe at 680 million years old, running 10 miles north to south across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire and are classed as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Malvern Hills fresh water springs were made famous by the Victorians who promoted it as a water cure bringing prosperous times to Great Malvern in the 19 th century.
It is a landscape that inspired the likes of JRR Tolkien and Sir Edward Elgar. You’ll take in no fewer than 17 hills across this rollercoaster route, including the magnificent earthwork remains of an Iron Age hill fort, which forms the summit of The Herefordshire Beacon (British Camp).
This walk can be done in one day or split over two days.
