The Mendips - Crook Peak & Brean Down (Two Routes) - 28th November 2027

The Mendips are a range of limestone hills which run from Weston-Super-Mare in the west to Frome in the east and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The first walk of the day will be a 6 mile circular loop up and around the distinctive summit of Crook Peak which sits next to the M5 just to the west of Cheddar.

The second walk is a 3 mile out and back route along Brean Down, a dramatic 1.5 mile peninsula which juts out into the Bristol Channel at Weston Bay. This is where the Mendips literally meet the sea. This walk will either be completed later Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning for those staying over in the  Weston area.

Both routes are owned by the National Trust.
