The National Three Peaks - 24 Hour Challenge - 21st & 22nd June 2024
The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours, including driving time between the three mountains.
It is frequently used to raise money for charitable organisations. Walkers climb each peak in turn, and are driven from the foot of one mountain to the next.
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
One night accommodation in Fort William on Thursday 20th June.
Mountain Leaders.
Official medal.
Training - walkers must attend two training days in the lead up to the challenge. Locations TBC but will be in a mountainous area central to the majority of the participants. The cost for these training days are £10pp.
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED
All food and snacks.
Cost of minibus and fuel (to be divided up upon completion).
Personal kit and clothing. Goretex waterproof jacket / trousers and boots are compulsory.
50% deposits are non refundable from the time of booking.

Friday 21st June:
06:00 - start Ben Nevis
Midday - travel to The Lake District
18:00 - start Scafell Pike
21:00 - travel to Snowdonia
Saturday 22nd June:
01:00 - start Snowdon
06:00 - complete challenge - present medals
